My adventure began very unexpectedly. I saw an epoxy resin charcuterie board one day and thought I could do that. After many trips to YouTube and four tries, I had my first charcuterie board. Not a very good one but not too terrible for my first one. After a number of boards and even selling a few, I decided to make a coffee table for my wife for Christmas. How hard could it be? It’s only a large charcuterie board. After many hours and many failures I finally finished just in time for Christmas. And yes, the tables are different than the charcuterie boards. And so, as time went by I found myself making more charcuterie boards , tables and even a few cutting boards. Every time I turn around, I find myself trying something new. (And they say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks). I never really thought of my work as art until I met Shelley and Pam. They are great encouragers, and my desire is to continue to improve my craft and expand the things that I am doing. I am now experimenting with epoxy resin and wood lamps. We will see how that goes. As Pam said, “I’m just doing what I’m doing,” and we’ll see where that leads me.
